Early morning in the Winter. Even here in Issan, NE Thailand it can be cool. My mother-in-law and sister-in-law stand grilling chicken to sell in the shop during the day.
My wife on the right was pregnant with our second child at the time. The red hut in the distance is where we sell petrol. My studio is at the back overlooking the rice fields.
We are in the fertile valley of the Mekong River not far from Nong Khai and the crossing into Lao. It is one place closer the heaven.
