A whimsical painting of a lady fishing with her little man...as bait. This is from a series of my paintings representing an archetypal woman from a male perspective. She is large, motherly, mysterious, slightly threatening, voluptuous, and a bit sexy. She is related to the Venus of Willendorf. The series was originally inspired by a poppy painting by Paula Modersohn-Becker. In some respects, the painting is about pattern.
