This painting of my lovely wife Waree was entered this painting into the Mundaring Open Art Acquisition Exhibition but it was rejected on the grounds that it is pornographic. Not arty gestural nudes but solid real nudes that celebrate the beauty of the female body. Almost tactile, the skin and the silk drape..It takes a lot of work, but in the end she almost comes alive. The artist�s dream, to turn coloured paint and paper into a real warm person. Sensuous and patterned.

It's such a shame people can only see a nude body as "pornographic". This is a lovely tribute to your wife - the detail, skin tone, light and shade - all gorgeous. Such a natural and beautiful painting.
